Also, with the cpu taking advantage of your pitches, you'll learn not to throw strikes every time. I don't walk a lot of guys, maybe 1-2 a game, but of course I also seem to give up my share of longballs.

What would that 'right way' be? I'm under the impression that moving in the plus range increases what the slider says and moving to the left decreases.

"Pitch Meter Difficulty". Move it right or left to make it harder to use?

        What are you working with?

from what I understand and use from the Sliders forum discussion, is that negative pitch control and difficulty makes pitching harder. Seems kinda backwards for the difficulty one, but that's what people say.

Just think of it as having less control. -50 means you have 50 points less of control...if that makes any sense.

bahahaha, after hammering me for saying exactly what you are now asking about here....

kinda funny dont ya think....you will not give up walks with mvp unless you install spitoons meter fix...this fix will give you walks but at the cost of strikeouts.

sorry just the way it is.
so funny though after all the abuse i took

                    not even an apology slthree,lol

I don't recall ever 'hammering' you for saying that. Normally, I don't mind when someone makes a statement contrary to my thinking. I only mind the way they make it because I want the posts, all of them, to be productive. We all want the same thing, a great playing baseball game.

I will say that it was your willingness to try the first pitch strike thing with MLB that made me go back and carefully test the MVP pitching. You were absolutely right. Regardless of sliders or level, I can't miss my spots.

One of the reasons I loved HH was because the pitches were a little variable. Funny, with all the technology, no pitching system today is as good. I do like the meter beter in MLB but I usually hit my spots there too.

I have never heard of spitoons meter fix. Tell me about it or link me to it, please. I hope it is for the PS2 version.

I really want the ultimate pitcher/batter duels. MVP captures it perfectly as a batter but not as a pitcher.

Do you know anything about the ESPN game?

Moving it to the left makes it more difficult (i.e. less green on the meter).

Well I have mine set to -35 control, and I always walk a few guys a game. I don't think it's easy by any means.
