    This plays well on Allstar?

Negative contact and power ratings for CPU?

    Are you sure?

no, sorry mvp level that's why pitch speed is -10. I always wanted to play on mvp, because no matter what the sliders I think like all Ea games you will eventually "master" it. My problem with mvp wasn't the cpu dominating me, but that the pitch speed was way too fast and I couldn't tell a ball from a strike or the break on the ball and it was too unrealistic, but having pitch speed at -10 cures that. The ball comes in at a rate comparable to all star level at 0. I might go down to -5 though as it seems it might be a tad too slow. I'm telling you try them, they are impressive. i can't emphasize enough just how tough pitching is with his stamina sliders. Finally this is the only set where you can't just paint the corners all day and the cpu (even if it is at 50/50) can't make good contact. The challenge really starts almost in the 1st inning with hitting your spots. And if you play with a lesser than pitcher you will give up hits and a lot of them. I know I need to play at least 15 games with these sliders to find any flaws, but when I played my 1st game i wasn't expecting what I got. That is a smooth flowing baseball simulated game. I might just ditch all the other sliders and exclusively tweak and play wit hthese. If it doesn't work out then I always have my version which I know play great. Ther's just something about these sliders that feel different in a good way. i figure if anything is glaringly wrong with his set then I have my sliders with it's philosophies that I can input into his set. I'm real excited if you can't tell. Dowie

        Dowie,

Sold my MVP 05 and bought it back as no sports game out there (including NCAA and Madden) provides me as much fun as MVP 05 did. I dowloaded some dudes rosters (+ spent numerous hours adjusting them) with my Action Replay and I am caught up to date (including about 75% of the minor leaguers). My Phillies even have Shane Victorino's pic. Burrell isn't a husky player -- he's thin now. I've got ALL the right stances for every MLB player. The only thing missing is Bond's mug. Still something was missing.

Then I read your thread and your sliders. I never ever thought to play with the 6/4. That made the game so much better. I always played with the hitter's eye and I've always played on MVP level. Your sliders and suggestions have made this game 10x better. Thanks bro. My Phillies will now hopefully win it all b/c they can't in real life.

your welcome, that's why we do them, so everyone can enjoy the game. Feel free to send feedback even if it isn't all positive, that's how we all can improve the game. Maybe you'll see something I won't etc. Dowie

I would like to hear what you have to say about them. I'm telling you, try them, you;ll be impressed. He is really on to something with the pitch fatigues. It's really hard to pitch. Might tone pitch speed down to 5 or 0.But these definitely have potential, and probably just need a little tweaking for your preference on what baseball shoulb be. Dowie
who did you start a dynasty with? just wondering.

Indians even though I'm from the Detroit area, I love the Tribe, but go Tigers. The Rockies would be my 2nd dynasty .Dowie

I just started one with the braves. I simmed the first season and i plan on playing most if not all the games of the second season. The first series of the year was against the rockies and it was a high scoring one.

Dowie, I didn't know you were a Tribe fan? I live in MA and I am a huge Tribe fan. Anyway, the CPU did a number on me the last three games. Gave up 5 and 7 runs on average. Couldn't hit the green on the meter. I simply struggled with Byrd, Lee and Sabathia. I think the Tribes pitching caps are somewhat underated in 2005. Alot of their control caps are in the 50 range. This could be the reason I'm not getting more than 4 or 5 innings out of these guys. I'm throwing alot of pitches. I tried making the pitch meter -40 instead of -50 but hitting the green was too easy and thus I gave up one run vs the Yanks with Elarton! I didn't save the game. So I'm back to -50 with fatigue at -50!

I've increased Sabathia, Westbrook and Lee's control ratings a little becasue these guys are control pitchers. This will help. Granted, I don't walk alot but when you hit the "brown" spot vs. the "green" on the meter it doesn't mean you're missing the plate but pitching over the plate. Thus good hitters kill ya!

Is there a way we can correspond as Tribe fans via e-mail? Living in Ma I have only Redsox fans to discuss baseball and they laugh when I tell them I root for the Tribe. I believe we are in the same age group so you won't be corresponding with some 20 year old kid. Please let me know if I can forward my e-mail to ya.
