Re: Jistics 2005 MVP All-Star Sliders

Thanks for all of the feedback guys. I'm glad to see you're having some good results.

The one thing about pitcher fatigue is that it seems to me that regardless of the slider setting, pitchers recover too quickly. Even the CPU pitchers in simmed games recover just as fast. I don't think we can help that with sliders.

Now that being said, if your guys are lasting too long IN GAME then yes, you should adjust it. I tried it at a lot of different settings and this one worked best for me. And the thing is, now after playing 20 games without adjustments and looking at the season stats the numbers are just too good for me. I have noticed that with variable 'stuff' on pitchers don't play the same from game to game.

So if you are playing at a lower setting continue testing and let me know. I just may not be as good at hitting the meter in the later innings. And my pitch counts are still dead on. Also don't forget to test the middle of the road starters.

I may toy with it some more myself and see how it goes as well.

Jistic please by all means do not change anything at all if you feel is working great, I'm only judging the pitcher fatiuge after only one game, so maybe I have to play more then one game to judge this sliders, but form the one game they really are amazing. Great work. I played the best damn game I ever played last night. Thanks.

Jistic, tried your sliders last nite. My Rangers beat the O's 8-4. Hit a pair of 3 run HR's in the game. I think the sliders are pretty good after one game. I'll have to play a couple more games.

Thats the one thing they didn't fix from last year was pitcher fatigue between games. Upsets me that I can use the same relief pitcher if I wanted to for 162 games without a problem. Would the Pitching Grace slider (or whatever it's called) help this out?

You're sliders rock, by the way!

I don't think so. The simmed games don't use sliders as far as I can tell and they have the same fatigue issues. BUt hey by all means mess with it and let us know if you learn anything.

Did you try V.1 bro? Maybe you should just use the fatigue slider from there if it worked for you. For me man I would fall apart every game in the 4th inning. However as I get better I might tweak it. You never know!

Jistic, I've been using your version one sliders and they are great. I'm having very realistic stats. One thing I'm concerned about is the speed of the infielders. It seems like the 2b and SS have unrealistic range into the shallow outfield and bloopers and lazy line drives. Does anyone else notice that? Maybe it's not that big of a deal, but it seems like there are a lot of plays made be speedy middle infielders.

                              Thanks for your hard work.....
