Re: Jistics 2005 MVP All-Star Sliders

I just do what works for me. And the more people that give feedback allows me to tweak a little bit more if there are glaring problems. I know everyone plays differently but sometimes if a lot of people are getting the same major issues it can be fixed. In the end you just gotta find what works best for you.

Jstics, major, major props. I've been using these sliders with a few minor modifications of my own, and these are by far the most realistic sliders that I've used.

these sliders are definitely working for me, i like them alot.....im still working with two sliders in particular to find the right number though.....pitch meter difficulty is one of them, somewhere between -20 & -37 will be good, have to settle on something....also, the CPU batting power at -14 was not good for me, as they could almost never score....i have that one back to "0", and now it feels like i need to be careful again, and theyve been taking me deep when i leave one hanging.....its getting there, great game

just some FYI for ya Jistic. Liking your sliders thus far. Pitch speed I had to change to make faster (more realistic IMO) Anyhow once I get some more games in I will get some more feedback ,but I wanted to let ya know there is a thread on here for High Heat sliders (something to that effect) that is basically yours with a few mods.

I just tried your sliders Jistic and I was pretty impressed. I've been playing with Heelfan's Pro sliders, and wanted to try All Star for a change. I played Oakland vs Seatte (me). I beat them 3-1. Both teams K'd 7 times. Ichiro hit a solo shot and Olivo hit a sweet 2 run shot off the foul pole. I also hit my first triple in this game with Ichiro. Nice job on the sliders.

It seems you and I are doing the same thing! I started at All Star and dropped back down to Pro because I was getting killed. I went back up to All Star because I felt the CPU pitched more intelligently and wanted to try Jistic's sliders. They worked out very well for me. I made a few minor tweaks (mainly to the Human contact/power sliders) because I'm not real great at hitting yet.

Anyhow, these sliders play very well from my experience. Good job Jistic!

For those that are having success with these, but all means don't change. I did have to do some minor tweaking as I had a problem with my starters falling apart a little TOO fast. Also a slight issue with CPU baserunning. I'll cover more at the end of this post. Here's my revised version.

                          Pitching MG Difference: 0
Here's what I did essentially. I needed to keep pitch counts accurate, and walks accurate, BUT I needed starters to be able to be effective into the later innings, especially if they had low pitch counts. For me that wasn't happening.

**User fatigue so low? If you use this setting, you need to change your thinking. Energy % will NOT mean anything. But pitch count will! That is what's important. You can have a guy at 50-60% energy but still not be able to throw a strike. Remember Pitch Counts are what's important.

**CPU Power so low? YES. This slider really hasn't seemed to do too much. With the pitching set so far to the hitters favor the CPU just hit 4 HR's in their last game against me with this setting. Don't be scared they will still punish you, and that includes the lighter hitting guys. YOu still gotta nibble. Nibble = More Walks, but also more K's and LESS HR's allowed.

**CPU runner agression reduced? I don't know about anyone else, but in my games the CPU third base coaches have been worse than Wedell Kim! They send everybody and I've been gunning them out at home a little bit too much because they hit it shallow and still go. This reduced that a bit without making them too conservative on the basepaths.

Like I said if you're having success with V.1, with or without your own tweaks then keep using that. This is just what I had to do to smooth out the rough edges for me. That's it. As always, feedback welcome!

Runner Injury Frequency: 0 (I think all injuries are perfect at 0)
                            Pitcher Injury Frequency: 0

Pitch speed I had to change to make faster (more realistic IMO) Anyhow once I get some more games in I will get some more feedback ,but I wanted to let ya know there is a thread on here for High Heat sliders (something to that effect) that is basically yours with a few mods.
LOL, yeah I saw that. Thanks, lemme know how they work out for ya.
