Re: Bye Bonds
I really don't see how that is fully relevant to the issue here, Blzer. For one, that statement was made by Bonds on May 3rd, the day after he had the surgery in question for the infection that had set in. Secondly, the reports that he was on an IV drip were from the Giants trainer Stan Conte, whom despite Barry's wishes, I would hope is at least kept somewhat up on the status of his recovery. This isn't just media speculation going on about the IV, it's from the person someone who even you can't discredit as a reliable source. Not to mention, in Barry's latest journal entry (made last Friday) he mentions that he is still on antibiotics and that they have limited what he can and cannot do, while not not saying they were being injected into his system.
I mean, if this were some type of slanderous story about the infection being brought on by a reaction to a steroid or something of that type, sure, I'd say you have a point in posting the statement from Barry, but that just isn't the case. The issue here is something as simple as an IV, hardly something that would be damaging to Barry's reputation if it were reported by the Giants head trainer. This isn't some inside unknown source the SF Chronicle has quoted in the past, this is someone who is paid to deal with issues of this type and to know the current medical status of the twenty-five players on the Giants roster. Plus, like I said, the quote you posted wasn't even relevant. According to the reports, Barry would have only started the IV the day after the statement you posted. How could there be false reports and allegations of something that hadn't even supposedly happened yet?Comment

So, I'm not sure what the relevance of it all is, either. Originally posted by BlzerI'm sorry. I emailed Bonds, and this was my response. Maybe some of his emails are automated responses or something. I don't know which entries you're talking about, but this is the response I got after emailing him a couple of days ago.

Re: Bye Bonds
Not personally. His site has a thing that says "Email Barry" on it.

They finagle the truth and all Barry does it agree that he said something, true or not.
