Before this season Foulke had 6 consecutive seasons of over 60 appearances and under 3.00 ERA. The next closest is 4 seasons. That's overrated? He's no Rivera, but he has been one of the most consistent and effective closers in baseball for the last 6 years.
Well, maybe it was that I thought he choked in big games then. The pressure always seemed to get to him. That's why I was actually happy when the Sox acquired him last year because I thought it was an automatic trip to the WS for the Yanks.
