I doubt it will be Manny representing the Domnican, I always thought he disliked the Home Run Derby as he thought it messed up his swing or something. It will probably be Ortiz, as I always hear about how he absolutley crushes balls in batting practices around the league.Comment

Correct me if I'm wrong, but China, Chinese Taipei, Italy, Netherlands, and South Africa don't even have a single major leaguer to represent them. Hee Sop Choi is Korea's best hitter, and Trent Durrington, a pitcher, is the best hitter from Australia.
It will be interesting to see the selections, that's for sure.Comment

Originally posted by kweissThe problem is that half of those countries don't have a single batter capable of hitting one out.

BTW, I'm pretty sure Durrington is a 3B.Comment

Only problem is that this means Miggy doesn't get a chance to defend his title.Comment

Re: MLB changes HR Derby format
Nothing surprising with an arrogant Sox fan.
So a .311 avg with 15 HR and 41 RBI for a sophomore season isn't good enough? Alright.
Jason Bay is better than you think.Comment
