Was Travis Hafner snubbed?
Ok I just saw the Guillen one and I thought why not do a Hafner one... except this one is a no contest.

Because the first two months; he was nowhere to be found. He turned it on in June and the splits show it - He came under the radar and quite quickly.

Re: Was Travis Hafner snubbed?
Im going to have to say yes..How is Konerko better then Hafner? Konerko's stats are not any better..worse in my opinion
Konerko - .243 , 19 HR , 53 RBI's
Hafner - .314 , 17 HR , 57 RBI's
Im gonna have to say i'd way rather have Hafners stats
I think what hurts hafner tho is he's usually a DH for the IndiansLet's Get Ready To Rumble!Comment

Re: Was Travis Hafner snubbed?
well the back up DH Shea Hillenbrand has even worse stats.

Not really up to par with Travis, of course Hafner did much of his damage in the last couple weeks but stats are stats.http://flotn.blogspot.com

Originally posted by Havok410Hafner was definatly snubbed. He should of been the backup DH instead of Shea Hillenbrand. What were the players thinking?
David Ortiz was picked by both the players and fans so the 2nd place guy was Hillenbrand with a paltry 180-something votes. I'm sure Hafner would've gotten more votes by the players if he had gotten hot earlier.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: Was Travis Hafner snubbed?
It's a little late now, but maybe would could condence these threads into one collective "snubbed" thread. Not being a forum monitor or busting balls or anything like that though.
Anyway, I think he was snubbed...If the reason he was left off the team is because of the players voting too early then shame on them. If I were a player I would wait to the waning days to get my ballot in. Take in the whole picture that way.“Nobody in the history of the game tried what I just tried. Re: Was Travis Hafner snubbed?
Originally posted by SportsmanTOActually the players were very astute. See if a player gets chosen to the ASG by the fans and the players then the 2nd place pick from the players is automatically sent to the game.

P.S. Was Hillenbrand even a DH before Aaron Hill got called up?Comment

Yep some nights you'd have Koskie playing 3rd, Hinske at first and Hillenbrand DH'ingMember of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Dohh..forgot all about Koskie. Toronto has alot of 3rd basemen. Hill, Hinske, Hillenbrand, and Koskie. I would make a trade if I was the Jays gm and acquire another starter or a slugger.Comment

Originally posted by SportsmanTOThere's talk the Jays would trade Orlando Hudson for an outfielder and move Hill to 2B.
I really like Hudson, I love watching him play 2nd even though he always seems to make great plays vs. Boston.“Nobody in the history of the game tried what I just tried. Everyone seems to be including his stats from the his last seven games when I'm quite sure the player's voting and possibly even most of the manager's selections had been completed. Hafner has had 5 HR's, 15 RBI, and 15 hits in his last seven games (most of that has actually come in the last four days). It is a little deceiving to post his stats (especially the HR's) when last week he had 12 HR's and 42 RBI's in asking whether or not he was snubbed.Comment
