I heard some guy from the Dallas Morning News on FAN last night say the Rangers want a package that would include Petit, Milledge and Heilman or Zambrano. No way do I trade Both Milledge and Petit. Petit reminds me of a right handed Sid Fernandez.

As A Met Fan I would be happy with Soriano! I would not be happy to give up
to many young guys as they don't have that many Blue chip guys down on the farm. I would give up Cammeron as he is an excellent fielder but a below average hitter. I would give up Zanbrano and Petite. Mildrige should not be part of the deal. This would give Texas a centerfielder, a good starter and a good young pitching prospect. Texas would then not to have to worry about what Sorriano would make next year. The Fox article also mentions a possible three way trade where the mets would get both Sorriano and Sean Casey. Casey would be an upgrade to Doug M. But is not as good a fielder
and would hit for zero power at Shea. I would also not be upset if the Mets just got Ron Vallone and called it a day. I think the Mets really need another big bat and a top closer to compete. The real push should be for 2006!

            LOL

Well, at least Petit doesn't remind you of Rick Reuschel or Terry Forster.... or a right handed King Kong Bundy for that matter.

We have to keep El Yus. Our starters aren't getting any younger and imagine the impact Rick Peterson and Pedro would have on him. Anybody heard the Benson, Looper and Cameron for Manny rumor? I would do it except for Benson.

Re: Forget Sori, I want Manny!

The Red Sox were involved in ''very serious'' negotiations with the Mets this afternoon regarding a Manny Ramirez trade, a source with direct knowledge of the negotiations told the Boston Globe's Gordon Edes.

A three-team trade involving the Devil Rays that would send Ramirez and Danys Baez to the Mets, Mike Cameron and Aubrey Huff to the Red Sox and prospects to the Rays is reportedly being discussed. Obviously, the Rays would want several top prospects to move both Huff and Baez in the same deal. Peter Gammons is reporting that a trade involving Manny and the Mets is unlikely. Still, it seems clear that there have been discussions. Jul. 29 - 8:16 pm et

The two Mets prospects are Petit and Milledge.

For Manny and Baez, I would give up Milledge and Petit.
