If shelled is being in the top 30 in ERA in the AL then there are a ton of guys getting shelled around the league. He has a 2.72 era against the Yankees, Red Sox, and Orioles this year in 7 starts with 3-2 record ...getting shelled when he's facing those power lineups. The kid's only 21, should be in the minors so he's doing pretty darn well considering the circumstances of playing for a bad Rays team. His only problem is walks. If he can start to get better control, the kid is going to be awesome.
    MLB: Rays
    NCAA: Michigan and Florida
    NFL: 49ers
    NHL: Lightning and Ducks

Not to mention opponents are hitting .243 off him, despite that he plays in the powerful AL East. That's better than a lot of people...Victor Zambrano for example (.248 in the NL East), and definetly a lot better than someone who gets hammered.

      Here's been Kazmir's average start:

6 innings, 5 hits, 3 walks, 5 Ks, 2 or 3 (2.75 on average) runs scored. That means the guy is averaging a "quality start" in the AL East; he's fourth in the division in ERA.

"The guy was married to Natalie Portman and blew it. I mean, think about it."
