It's an interesting conspiracy theory if you're into that sort of thing, but if he did test positive wouldn't he only be suspended for 10 days, not an entire season... or maybe he's trading the season for keeping his name clean... nah, I don't buy it.Comment

Re: Does anyone think Barry is serving his suspension now?
I absolutely believe the league has put him on a leave of absence type thing for this year. This is a knee problem that's supposedly been infected and many other problems with it. But the thing that's been stated many time is with all the surgeries that go on with athletes and the care the doctors and medical staff puts on them because of knowing their body is their livelihood, the chance of and infection things of that nature are extremely slim.
If you're dumb enough to say that if he was using roids his name would be released you're too far gone to even be in this discussion. Why in the world would baseball ever want to have its greatest HR hitter of the past "Juiced" era, be positively linked to using Steroids?
It would be an absolute media disater in which no one would want to deal with or would be able to handle with the massive black eye that baseball would take on.
Rafael Palmeiro was the perfect "star" to get caught using steroids, think about it. I firmly believed he used steroids, so don't think I am starting a conspiracy theory on whether he actually did or not, but MLB needed a big name to hang its new drug testing hat on. RP has never been a big flashy guy, always flown under the radar with most of his accomplishments like everyone else has said, but he's a star enough for MLB to say "See our plan works, we get the big names as well."
It's all a mess a right now and severely disheartening, I just hope somehow it'll be cleaned up, but I don't think so. I think now without a doubt a bunch of "star" players are still using (14 HRs in one month?) and are using masking agents, all while crying and pulling the "I don't know" card when they are caught. It's sickening.“Nobody in the history of the game tried what I just tried. We’re talking about on the biggest stage, in New York, playing out of position and asked to hit fourth for the New York Yankees. I mean, that’s never been done.” - Sheffield on SheffieldComment

Originally posted by ScottdI don't know if Bonds has ever taken steriods, but I do know one thing, I have put on 50 pounds in 8 years. It is called getting older lol. Barry got big over 8 years not over one year. Also keep in mind Bonds is 41 years old. When you get older recovery time is longer. I know that first hand. Each time I get hurt it takes longer to heal. My friend thought maybe he was serving a suspension. If that was the case I think it would have leak already.

Ha they were talking about the same thing on SC. Can't believe RP knew a while ago even before his 3,000 hit that he tested positive, and here's the thing he appealed secretly without anyone knowing, and they waited to say he tested positive. So if MLB can hold that secret why couldn't Barry have tested positive and they keep it a secret?http://flotn.blogspot.com

Maybe we'll know for sure when we see what Barry looks like when he gets to training camp next spring. If he still looks the same, then maybe there is nothing to this but if he comes in significantly smaller like Sosa or Pudge than maybe there is something to the question posted in this thread.Comment

Re: Does anyone think Barry is serving his suspension now?
I honestly think he'll retire. Baseball and the FANS do not want him to break Hank Aarons clean record. So instead of actually returning to the game, Bonds will have a "Career-Ending" injury. Only time will tell...Comment
