Pettitte- Techincally him and Griffey are the only guys who "came back" from anything... but Pettitte has been so important to the Astros resugence this year.

      AL

Gotta go with Giambi. Steroids or not... the guy had an anemic year plagued with bad injuries and illnesses last year... and this year the lineup is so much different with him in it. When you have a guy in the 6 slot that can drive in runs like a 3 hitter.... you know you've got something good. He protects Matsui in the lineup.. and he's come up big this year.

NL - I'll have to go with Ken Griffey Jr. He was plagued by injuries the past couple of years and now that he's had a full year, he's back to putting up numbers that the Griffey of old would put up at his age. Andy Pettitte and Troy Glaus both got considerations, Pettitte has been key to the Astros success while Glaus has had a good season coming of injury last year, but none came back more than Griffey.

*-what the heck is Brian Fuentes doing there? Can someone fill me in on that one?

AL - I'm a hometown homer on this one so I'm going with Zito. I would have considered Halladay but he got injured and that isn't helping my fantasy team.

Re: Who should be the Comeback Player of the Year?

NL - Ken Griffey Jr. The Comeback Player of the Year Award isn't like the MVP in that it's not how valuable you were to your team, it is an individual award. Griffey is having his best season in five years and on pace to play in more games than he has in any season in that same span.

AL - He wasn't on the list, but Dustin Hermanson was horrible last season with the Giants and now he is having an All-Star campaign this year.

Richie Sexson: 32 HR's 94 RBI's, should finish with 40 HR's and around 120 RBI's. Considering how badly tore up his shoulder was last season the numbers he is putting up are astounding.

                    NL
Ken Griffey Jr.: 30 HR's for the 1st time since 2000, should reach 150 hits for the 1st time since 1999, has the most doubles he has had in a season (29)since 1998 (33) and has a chance to hit .300 for the 1st time since 1997.

How can you give it to Giambi when he's "coming back" from his own roid inflicted illnesses... wtf??

                              Anyway, Griffey and Sexson..

sexson putting up great numbers in a pitcher's park.
