Doing a research paper...
Hey all, I'm doing a research paper for one of my classes. I need to get a bunch of names of Yankees that were either terrible before they became Yankees and superstars when they joined the team, or were superstars before joining the Yankees and were terrible when they were signed. Thanks a lot! This space for rent.Tags: None -
Re: Doing a research paper...
Stars then became horrible:
Tony Fernandez
Steve Sax
Chuck Knoblauch
Hideki Irabu
Dave Winfield (well not really but he underachieved)
Jesse Barfield
Rick Cerone
Hell just look through the 80s roster!
non stars turning into big names:
Paul O'neill
er can't think of many others sorryMember of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

you guys got Canseco when he was injured though, right? or coming back from an injury. anyway, he was in his prime like he had been. I don't think he became a Yankee and then just sucked.“Nobody in the history of the game tried what I just tried. We’re talking about on the biggest stage, in New York, playing out of position and asked to hit fourth for the New York Yankees. I mean, that’s never been done.” - Sheffield on SheffieldComment

Most of them have been covered in this thread already, but Chacon is looking like the next player he broke out with the Yankees.Originally posted by Jay BilasThe question isn't whether UConn belongs with the elites, but over the last 20 years, whether the rest of the college basketball elite belongs with UConnComment
