Mazzone heading to the O's is very bad news for the Yanks, Red Sox, Jays, and D-Rays.

    Hopefully this doesn't happen.

Seems we could be seeing a changing of the gaurd, maybe not right away but with Mazzone in Baltimore and the fact that they have some good young arms combined with the Jays having lots of pitching prospects and fairly young arms we may see these two old rivals get into it again.

Tho i'm scared Mazzone may make those young arms too good!

As a Huge, Lifetime Braves fan, all I can say to Leo Mazzone is:

        F*** YOU.

But in all seriousness, if he decides to go anywhere besides back to ATL, then I wish him the best of luck, as long as he's not in the NL EAST. But if he doesn't want to be on the Braves, where he belongs, then we don't need him. Look what has happened to Glavine and Maddux. Although the interesting thing to note in both of those situations and all the other pitchers who have come to ATL and then left, not doing nearly as well, is that Mazzone was behind all of those pitchers. So maybe he will continue success, but I will still HATE the Yankees if he goes there.

And the Mets, just because they suck and are owned by the Braves.

I just can't wait to see what he does with Bedard and Cabrera, Cabrera specifically. He REALLY needs to work on his control, and I'm hoping Leo can help him fix that. He'll also be good on the other young pitchers like Ray (probably our closer in '07), Loewen, Penn, and Maine.

He has the challenge. The challenge is to settle down Kyle Davies, Horacio Ramirez, Joey Devine, and Kyle Farnsworth and get us to the World Series!

                Or so I wish

What will people be saying if he leaves and then the Braves don't win the NL East?

Also, do you think he'd ever be a manager?

Never say never, I think he'd actually be a decent manager. The guy knows pitching inside and out so i'm sure he'll have tips for batters on what the tendencies of other pitchers are and how to hit against them.

I think he's been an even bigger key for us to winning the division than Bobby has. He's just been huge. We've consistently been top or near the top of the league in ERA since Mazzone has been the pitching coach. He's just worked wonders.

If we dont win the division, it'll probably be because of that.

You know what, as much as we are going to struggle without him rocking next to Bobby next year, I'm happy for Leo. He's built himself up to the level where he has the ability to choose where he works and who he works with, something we all strive for. His success has now gotten him to a spot where he can work alongside his best friend on a daily basis, an accomplishment we should all be proud of.

I'll always cherish Leo's time with the Braves, and it will take a very longtime to get used to him in another uniform and to see his place on the Braves bench filled by someone else. But life goes on, and people move onto bigger and better things. It just happened to be the right time for Leo to do just that.

                            Congrats, Leo.

                            And thanks.

I just hope the Braves have some coach who has been like Leo's protege for the last couple of years or something so the team can continue its run.
