Really, why is everyone so worried about the Cub fans. Seriously, you got the White Sox fans who are preoccupied with us, ESPN,...etc. Just leave us alone. As a Cub fan, I can tell you its about the Cubs not the White Sox. If the Cubs won, the White Sox and their fans wouldnt even cross my mind.
Dusty Baker, doesnt want to root for anybody in the playoffs.

Re: Dusty Baker, doesnt want to root for anybody in the playoffs.
I was watching the Fox news this morning and they were taking calls from fans and this one Cubs fan came on.
He was like "As a Cubs fan, I'm very happy for the White Sox organization to bring home a chamionship for the city of chicago....BUT (both newscasters stop and listen) ....But all I see in papers and around town is talk of the Sox. There are still 2 teams in this city....
At this point both newscasters bust up with laughter and a third dude, a ex-White Sox player who was with them broke the ice. "You see, you are the very definition of a Cubs fan. One team won the chamionship and its bothering you to see them get all the press for a change. You outta be ashamed of yourself".
So the newscasters said they'll go into the other top news stories just for him. It was all sarcasm because they were scheduled to go to the next stories.
LMAO, I'm not gonna judge all Cubs fans by this one dude but its crazy that some feel bitter especially since they're team had a chance just a few years ago. The cross-town rivalry is still alive and more stronger than ever.http://neverfollow.biz (Independent Music Group)Comment

Originally posted by DeeForThreeYeah, that guy made a pretty asinine comment. Why would there be ANY press regarding the Cubs right now? The Sox won the biggest series in baseball for the first time in 88 years. The media would be stupid to distract their coverage of this event to cover something "important" like Matt Murton's progress in fall league. Just stupid, and please don't judge all of us like this one guy.http://neverfollow.biz (Independent Music Group)Comment

Originally posted by GraphikI still cant believe this guy had the nerve to come on the day after the victory and say that. 2 weeks from now, fine, his point would of been valid but the very next day. Not even 10 hours after...that was ludicris. He was obviously bitter about the whole thing and felt he had to speak up for most diehard Cubs fans who will never like the Sox. I understand though, I'd be lying if I said I would'nt be bitter if the Cubs took home a chip before us. But, I'd keep it to myself and let yall have yall day.Comment

Re: Dusty Baker, doesnt want to root for anybody in the playoffs.
Unreal....complaining 'cause other people aren't pulling for your team. Do you believe that if more people were pulling for the Sox it would change anything? THEN WHO CARES???
I'm from Chicago...lived there my whole life (until 2 years ago)....I was going for the Astros all the way...Sox fans bitch & moan about how everyone loves the Cubs & they get no respect...well, that's their fault....how many games did you go to this year OP (original poster)? When I lived in Chicago I went to at least a couple games a year...a couple years ago I went to about 20. I have a bunch of friends who are Sox fans who don't go to any games all year...talk about great team support!
I'm glad you guys finally won....this way when May hits next year and the Cell is empty again I can sit back and laugh.Comment
