He belongs in Boston. He should go back to the Sox and retire as a member of the Red Sox then go into the HOF with a Sox cap.

I could hang my RedSox Clemens posters up again .

I wonder if Marte would be a good fit to just leave him at third if Bill Mueller is traded. If so, maybe Mike Lowell could turn into a really good firstbaseman. He is gold glover at third, so who knows.

And I don't blame any ex redsox player that was pushed out of Boston during the Dan Duquette (SP?) era.

Clemens wasn't pushed out, he ate his way out of Boston.

If Marte is as good a defensive 3B as people say, I wouldn't have any problem moving Lowell to 1B. However, starting the season as our regular 3B is a lot to ask of a guy who has 57 career at bats. I think a more realistic scenario is keeping Lowell at 3B and moving Youkilis to first.

I've never taken down the 1990 Roger Clemens All-Star card off of my nightstand.

And by the way, Bill Mueller currently is not on the Red Sox roster, though they did offer him arbitration.

Clemens will either retire or pitch for Houston on May 1 and have a 5 month season. He wants to pitch an abbreviated season since he kinda fell apart at the end of last year (but dominated the league from Apr-Aug). He'll cost at least $12 mil even for the short season.
