D-Backs looking to ship Glaus to Jays or Red Sox

The Jays have offered O-Dog for Glaus. Glaus is the type of power hitter the Jays lack. But the Jays are already almost at their payroll limit and we are already full of 1B/3B types with Hinske, Overbay, Hillenbrand, and Koskie.

I would flip Batista and O-Dog for Glaus in a heartbeat as long as there is already 2 trades lined up to move Hillenbrand and Hinske.

I don't want to lose Odogg, give em Hilly or Kosie and Hinske.

The way the Jays are stockpiling guys maybe this will cause the Orioles to go with youth.

I don't want to lose Odogg either...maybe JP can finagle a trade where it doesn't involve the Dogg.

Tho if we do lose ODogg at least we'll make up for it in offense.

The D-Rays would be foolish to trade Glaus unless they were getting pitching back.

They have a lot of good prospects but they're all positional players.

If I was the D-Backs, I would want Chacin, Batista, and a top pitching prospect.

Wow...Hudson for Glaus? Day-um. However, obviously, they'd have to def. dump off two of Hinske, Koskie and Hillenbrand.

Re: D-Backs looking to ship Glaus to Jays or Red Sox

ESPN insider reports that the Jays should have Glaus by X-mas.

Don't know what that means (player-wise)...but it sounds good.

I'll say it again, I think Chacin's great season was an abberration.

                      -Not overpowering stuff
                      -Walks way too much
-3rd time through the order, teams go haywire on him
-I think he got by a lot with his deceptive delivery

                      Now I don't think he'll be a scrub, but I definatly don't think he's a guy I deem as untouchable.

Yep...he never made it through the 6th inning, and got hit harder at the end of the year. He's still a solid lefty, but teams are starting to pick up on his delivery. I still think he'll get 10-15 wins again though.

The Orioles don't have any youth to go with, their farm system is crap.

I agree. This is the perfect time to trade Chacin while his value is still high. He's young, cheap, left handed, and had a good rookie season. This is the same guy that spent 4 seasons at AA. With his whip, you're playing with fire.

The reason his ERA was well below the AL Average was because he was excellent whenever men were in scoring position. He also was excellent in controlling the running game. If he's with the Jays next season I expect his ERA will be above 4.20.

The Jays also have McGowan, Marcum, Banks, and Purcey knocking on the door for a SP rotation spot.

You can't honestly be that ignorant, can you? Have you ever heard of Nick Markakis? Top 25 prospect. Val Majewski ring a bell? What about Hayden Penn or Adam Loewen? Or the studs we drafted this year, Garrett Olson, Brandon Snyder, Brandon Erbe, and Nolan Reimold. Ever hear of them? Doubt it, I wouldn't talk about something I wasn't informed about.
