Woo Hooo
I will miss O-Dog too, but we really needed a Power Hitter and Glaus gives us someone who will consistently pound out 30+ homers a season barring injury...
Great deal for usAfter seeing what's gone down in Boston, we might be a better team by the time this is all said and done

I wouldn't be surprised if the Sox finish third in the division this year, as long as the Jays somehow finish first.Comment

I'm a little disappointed. The Jays did give up a lot to get him, however, and I'm not sure the Sox could have matched that.Boston Red Sox l New England Patriots l Boston Celtics l Massachusetts Minutemen l Boston College EaglesComment

Originally posted by nyyanksfan20I just meant as far as after the Damon signed, but yea the Sox did do a few good moves and are getting trashed pretty hard. Still a long way till the season begins but it seems the Sox have created just as many holes as they have filled.
And I don't see how they're getting trashed. Their pitching is much improved and pitching wins championships. They'll figure out their CF/SS situations before the season starts, so I'm not worried.
I'm actually more worried about the Jays improving than the Yankees.Comment

No we didn't...
Batista was redundant for us. We had to use for him.
Hudson while a great defensive player, struggles on offense and has a very capable replacement who plays very good defense.
Plus we got a B level prospect in the deal.

Originally posted by APD0290Damn I thought I had read earlier that the deal included Brandon League. I can't believe the D'Backs added in a B level prospect in the deal. If anything, it should be the Jays sending a prospect to Arizona. Bad deal for Arizona, I think they could have gotten more whether it be from the Jays or Sox.Blue Jays, Blackhawks, AuburnComment

Great move for the Jays. As a Sox fan, it sucks to see the AL East getting this great, but its also awesome because we haven't seen a trio of teams with this talent in the division for a long time. Its incredibly early, but just on paper, this could be one of the most compeitive divisions (as far as the top 3 go) in the last decade.Comment
