Man, never in a million years would I see the White Sox turn into a dynasty of sorts. I do believe that US Cell Field will have a decent attendance rating throughout the year instead of the usual weekend and coke can half priced tuesdays. I guess the days of walking up on game day and buying a 9 dollar ticket are over. Almost brings a tear to my eye.

......Is it a coincedence that the White Sox happen to win it all right when the nierborhood is cleaned up and the projects are torn down? Any chicagoans notice that?

Wow I'm surprised he settled for that little, especially after Burnett and Millwood set the bar so high. Good for the White Sox though.

It's not really a bad contract for him since in three years he becomes a free agent while still in his prime. And in his final year of the contract, he is set to recieve about 12 million dollars.
The figures breakdowns like this, in his first year he gets 7 mill., the second year he gets 10 mill. and 12 mill. his final year.

Execllent price for a pitcher who still needs to prove he can do it for more than 1 year. For the amount of money they spent it's a great move by the Sox.

But you only won one World Series... For all we know they could finish last this year, while I'm happy that you're happy the Sox are doing well, I think its a little early to proclaim dynasty.


Serious question for all you White Sox fans, lets say for whatever reason the team goes in the tank, will you all dissapear like all the other seasons when no White Sox fans posted on OS? I'm just curious as to what type of fan base do the Sox have on OS.

Well based on the fact I was still around after Tampa tanked after the superbowl and orlando's complete mess they are going thru, the sox dropping off after winning the world series wouldnt be a new expeirence for me, and id still be here each and everyday.

I'l surely be posting even if the Sox fall flat on their faces, which I doubt that would happen unless their was injuries to 3 of the starting pitchers, injuries to Konerko, Podsednik, Thome, Dye AND Ozzie Gullien was fired. BUT this senerio seems highly unlikely.

Baseball is a funny game. Sometimes the best teams doesn't always win. The Cardinals were the best team in all of baseball but failed to even go to the Series. Some even question if the White Sox were the best team in the AL. Anything can happen in the playoffs. To win the championship you have to be GOOD first and then LUCKY second. I'm not disputing that the White Sox had some luck in the playoffs last year BUT they are still a GOOD teams. And the GOOD teams win division titles and wild cards. The White Sox are a GOOD team which should win the division.

Everyone hated on us, no one thought we would be able to resign Garland... BUT WE DID IT!! WHOOOOOOOOOOO! THE HELL WITH ALL YOU HATERS! Don't doubt the White Sox! Everyone was against us in the resigning of Garland, and look what we did! We are the greatest organization ever! No one will ever, EVER(~!) disrepsect us again! YEAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!! EAT IT HATERS!!
