Talk about being in a class by yourself. Geez when is someone finally gonna let Jim Rice in? Seriously?

Rice and Dawson both need to be in.

Since Sutter's in, Gossage should be in as well.

There are some more recent relievers that I think have been better than Sutter as well (Eckersley for one).

I think the fact that he only was in the postseason twice and didn't play for really great teams is hurting him a bit, but still It's baffling to be honest. He should be in there.

You know what his problem is? He never got 3000 hits or 500 HR's.

I have a problem with this type of voting. They put way too much emphasis on those categories (and 300 wins for a starting pitcher). While reaching those milestones are important and very difficult to do, some of these voters need to realize that those numbers don't tell the entire story of a players career.

Personally I think Dawson deserves to get to the HOF. However, it's going to get more difficult in the years to come. Ripken, Gwynn and McGwire are all eligible next year. Not to mention Gossage and Rice.

Jim Rice dominated in HR's and RBI's for a decade in his time. Unfortunately like Eddie Murray and Albert Bell he was super mean to the media and well you reap what you sew. He doesn't have the magical numbers of 500 homeruns or 3,000 hits to get him in. So guys like Bell and Rice will not be able to get in since the media abhore them and they don't have those "special" numbers.

Jack Morris deserves it more than anyone else on that list that isn't in. He dominated HIS era of baseball.

Doc Gooden didn't get enough to stay on the ballot. Could have been there. Too bad.
