Re: Kirby Puckett Suffers a Stroke

Radio this morning said he's in really bad shape and fighting for his life.

I hope he pulls through, but when I see a guy that out of shape fighting for his life, it doesn't leave me with much hope.

I heard that on the late night shows. Man that's sad. I really hope he makes it but like you said, I don't really see how he can with him being so out of shape and such.

I prayed for him tho and I hope the Lord looks over him.

I heard that too, I had assumed it wasn't that bad. I hope he comes through okay and fully functional.

Hopefully this will keep him out of female bathrooms.

            That was unecessary USF11.

Btw, anybody know what his condition was prior to this? I know he had glaucoma. Was he a diabetic?

But damn, he had gained significant weight looking at those pictures.

You would think if he's a diabetic or has history of cardiovascular disease in the family, and glaucoma, that he would take care of his weight. **shakes head**

Karma. The guy was played up his whole career as a Holly Jolly fatman, then it came out the guy was a complete tool.

To be fair, that comment was made well before Puckett actually passed away.

Well, to say any person deserves to suffer a stroke is harsh too.

I didn't see the comment so much as saying he deserved it, but more of a "it's no surprise, given his size" observation. I mean, obviously based on the pictures shown in this thread, the guy who was never in that great of a shape during his playing days had really let himself to in recent years. It's very unfortunate that he had a stroke and ultimately lost his life because of it, but at the same time, there is still no denying that he was very overweight.
