The Official "Welcome the 2006 Season" Gameday Thread

    Baseball Opener

Cleveland Indians vs. Chicago White Sox.

    C.C. Sabathia vs. Mark Buehrle.

I might watch this game, maybe not, but it's on ESPN2.

    My prediction for the game:

    CLE 4 7 1
    CWS 7 8 0

    Sizemore hits a home run.
    Dye hits a home run
Sabathia goes 6, giving up 3, but the guy starting the 7 blows the lead.
Buerhle will get touched up early, but the pen will get things under control when Buerhle leaves after six.

    You can tell I'm bored.

I'll be watching just because it's baseball again...

and I'm always obsessed with baseball once the season starts...and then it dwindles down to just caring about the Red Sox by the end.

        LOL

Yeah...for the first like two months, I will watch pretty much every baseball game shown on TV.

Then suddenly june, july roll around and it will dwindle down to watching every RS game, and maybe flipping back and forth to other games.

It used to be the other way around for me...I wouldn't care about baseball at the start because of the NHL playoffs, and then I'd get into it for June and watch everything from then on.

Now, I don't really care about hockey, so I'm into it now, but late in the year, when Auburn football starts, my interest will dwindle.

Of course, if the Jays are actually in it this year, that might change.

Probably the greatest home opener I've ever seen....of course me being a White Sox fan!

Let's play ball and defend that championship!

                      I'm mad too.

I remember seeing some ads for the game during the week so I naturally thought the game would be on. I looked at my Rogers digital guide and it said TBA. That's when I got a sinking feeling.

We got "ugh" poker on tv.

I think this may have to do with the game being on ESPN2.

Ok, I actually like Peter Gammons on Baseball Tonight but I can already tell that I am going to hate seeing him as the third member of the crew on Sunday Night Baseball.

Will Baseball Tonight be at the same time this season as previous years? Also, will the second time they run it be the gay*** 20 minute blurb of what happened on the east coast and no rundown on the west coast games?
