Perfect fit for both. Funny, some analyst had it down to Sox or Yanks.

Well that's good. I don't have to worry bout the Yanks signing him and wreaking havoc on the AL East race.

        Just sayin....

But I believe he signed with the Stros. I would have loved to have him pitching for the sox, but wouldn't want any of the other stuff he'd bring with him.

I'm not surprised since I really didn't think he'd leave his hometown Astros, but you know part of him wanted into that AL East race rather than pitching for .500 Astros.

Would've loved to have seen him come to Boston to pitch...but can't blame him.

Deal is worth 10mil for rest of the year.

It's probably for the best he stays in the NL. Too bad for him though because if he wanted more wins and a better chance to win a World Series he should have came to the Yanks/Sox. Although I do think the path to getting to the World Series is easier in the NL, the AL is just the better league. Which is probably part of the reason he didn't want to go to the AL and have to deal with the AL lineups.

The man doesn't care about his family. He only cares about money. When he left Boston he was supposed to go closer to home. I didn't know Toronto is in Texas

Jayson Stark is reporting the Astros are denying the deal is done, but who knows.

Like when Ken Griffey wanted to be traded to Atlanta to be closer to home. I guess he just hops in a car now and drives from Cincinnati to Florida as if its 40 minutes away.

He apparently he doesn't care about money as much anymore because he would have gotten more from the Rangers, Red Sox, or Yanks. Not to mention the Red Sox and Yanks are better than the Astros and the Rangers are close.

Yankees really could have used him.

On the plus side, he's not going to Boston and he should put up his best numbers in Houston, which will be helpful to my fantasy team if the Astros can score a couple of runs once in awhile.

Ouch, now that's something I would say about the guy...

Actually, I would probably say "Now that Clemens's secret steroid suspension is over, he's headed back to the low-risk, high yield situation in Houston...which happens to be where his family is."
