How good can Matt Kemp be?

I honestly think this kid has a shot to be one of the best players in the big leagues. He has the total package. Just thought I'd like to hear some other people's opinions on the kid.

His numbers so far got my attention. I'd never heard of him before but saw he hit 2 HRs the other day so looked him up. Is he going to play everyday? If so he might be worth a pick-up in fantasy.

      He's the 2006 version of Jeff Francouer(sp).

Almost a carbon copy. Once pitchers see more of him, he'll have a reality check.

Still a good player it seems, but way too early to say he'll be great/good/incredible.

Kemp has 3 walks already this year.

He didn't walk much in the minors though. Last year he only walked 25 times in 453 AB. Kemp and Francouer are similar players.

LOL, Francoeur is on pace to have 7 walks when he reaches that many at-bats this year.

I see what you're saying though.

I played against Kemp and Josh Johnson (SP for the Marlins), a few years ago in High School. Josh was actually a teammate at one time.

Both were good back then but I never thought I would see them in the pros this quickly. I hope they do well.

Josh Johnson is a stud. The Marlins sure crank out the pitchers, don't they?

Johnson is good. Whenever he was on my team he was our best hitter and fielder. He pitched some but all he threw was a fastball and slider. This was 8th grade though.....in high school he started pitching more.

Its interesting to see him tearing it up in the Big leagues now.
