How good can Matt Kemp be?
I honestly think this kid has a shot to be one of the best players in the big leagues. He has the total package. Just thought I'd like to hear some other people's opinions on the kid.Tags: None -
Re: How good can Matt Kemp be?
He's the 2006 version of Jeff Francouer(sp).
Almost a carbon copy. Once pitchers see more of him, he'll have a reality check.
Still a good player it seems, but way too early to say he'll be great/good/incredible.“Nobody in the history of the game tried what I just tried. We’re talking about on the biggest stage, in New York, playing out of position and asked to hit fourth for the New York Yankees. I mean, that’s never been done.” - Sheffield on SheffieldComment

Originally posted by Havok410He didn't walk much in the minors though. Last year he only walked 25 times in 453 AB. Kemp and Francouer are similar players.
I see what you're saying though.Comment

Re: How good can Matt Kemp be?
I played against Kemp and Josh Johnson (SP for the Marlins), a few years ago in High School. Josh was actually a teammate at one time.
Both were good back then but I never thought I would see them in the pros this quickly. I hope they do well.***My Teams***

Josh Johnson is a stud. The Marlins sure crank out the pitchers, don't they?Comment
