    Comeback player discussion

    What's your pick?

I'd go with Thome and Beltran.

    Re: Comeback player discussion

When I read the topic of the thread the first name that came to mind was Jim Thome. It pains me to say this since I am a Cubs fan and can not root for the White Sox.

Except Corey was never really good enough to have made a comeback. I'd actually argue Magglio Ordonez and Nomar.

I'd say Patterson has had a nice comeback because you've got to remember last season he hit .215 w/ 15SB and ended up in AAA for some part of the year. This year he's at .274 13HR w/ 39SB.

Anyway, I went with Beltran and Thome

Thome and Rolen. I hate how players like Patterson, Edgar and Beltran are even candidates since they are only really coming back from a down year. In my opinion, players like the ones I voted for, Hurt, even Nomar and Schilling, should easily get the nod over someone like that.

I don't understand how anyone can vote anyone but Schilling. The guy isn't just coming back from a horrible year. He is coming back from a career threatening injury he sustained and worsened by helping pitch the Sox to their first WS in 86 years. Sure, there are guys who are having better years, but did anyone there that is having one come back from a career threatening injury? I think not...

BTW, don't think I chose him because I'm a homer. I hate Schilling with a passion, he's a friggin blowhard who loves his own voice.

Beacuse not everyone is a die hard Red Sox fan.

I'd pick Thome and Nomar with my boy Beltran finishing a close 2nd in the NL.
