Re: Well played, Mr Pavano...
er....OK
EDIT:
NEW YORK -- Yankees pitcher Carl Pavano has a pair of broken ribs, sustained in a mid-August car accident that the oft-injured right-hander didn't tell the team about until Monday.

Re: Well played, Mr Pavano...
The Red Sox didn't do much better by signing Matt Clement in the same off season. Thankfully he only has 1 more year left on his piss poor contract. Too bad it's for $9.5M. Unfortunately for the Yankers, Pavano will make $10M in 2007, and $11M in 2008. Of course, money doesn't really matter for NY, so they can hide this guy away like Judy Winslow and nobody really will care or notice (aside from the accountants).Comment

Re: Well played, Mr Pavano...
And Florida fans that laugh at teams way overpaying for unproductive players. Only teams benefitting from the fire sale are the Mets who got Delgado and LoDuca, and the Marlins themselves.
I am glad that Lowell is playing well though.
But Pavano? HA :y4:Comment

Re: Well played, Mr Pavano...
Pavano has been hurt.
If he's healthy, he's still a good top line starter."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace
