    He's qualified as of now, but if he didn't play for the rest of the season he wouldn't be. He needs 3.1 PA per his teams game, which comes out to 502 for the season. He's at 488 right now.

      not saying they would pitch around him, but when your pitcher throws his best pitches to ARod, Jeter, Giambi, Matsui, etc., Cano is seing some of the pitcher's worst pitches. Lineup protection is a very underrated aspect of hitting. Look what happened to David Ortiz when he went to Boston. He started hitting behind Manny and all of a sudden he's a regular MVP candidate.
