Jose Valentin and Endy Chavez got some credit for the jobs they did for the Mets but Pedro Feliciano hardly got any and he was money with a 2.09 in 64 relief appearances. Good to have a lefty like that outta the pen.

Playing for the Red Sox it's pretty hard to go unnoticed, but here goes:

            Kevin Youkilis: .279 Avg, 13 HR's, 72 RBI's and 42 Doubles

            and

            Mike Lowell: .282 Avg, 19 HR's, 77 RBI's and 47 Doubles

At the start of the season the Sox were so unsure about Youkilis they brought in J.T. Snow to platoon at 1B, Youkilis quickly put to rest their concerns about whether or not he could be an every day player.

Mike Lowell was basically a throw in in the Josh Beckett trade and put together a pretty solid season, especially after a dismal 2005.

You could even argue that Lowell had a better season than Beckett.

              Crazy to think about.

Hahah, glad I'm not the only one.

                  Good thread.

                    Aaron Harang 16-11, 3.76, 234 IP, 6 CG 2 SHO

                    Bronson Arroyo 14-11, 3.29, 240 IP

Those numbers for Reds starters are outstanding. They got us closer to the playoffs then I though possible.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

I like how people are posting their own teams' under-the-radar players. Especially ones with 1.30+ whips, a stat that just so happens to be missing from their post.

Even better considering he had, what, 9 HRs before the break and was hitting under .270?

It's the only thing I got to hold on to since we're not in the playoffs. But all things considering I am impressed with Jon Garland getting 18 wins for the second straight season. Not too many picthers supply back-to-back 18+ wins season.

It seems like he's done this year in and year out... put up great numbers, but nobody ever notices.
