It's not as if the Yankees really miss the money. If A-Rod goes to another team, plays his natural position, and puts up the same offensive numbers he'll easily be the most dominant SS in the game. How many Shortstops are going to hit 30+ HR's and drive in 120+ RBI?

NY cares about winning, not how good of a player you are individually.

Thank god David Wright doesn't play in New York...

When you move out to NY, you can then have a point..until then stay in the 'Cut.

Right, because my family isn't from LI and I don't get all NY stations/media/newspapers where I live. Good point, try again.

NY fans aren't stupid, the teams he was on were terrible.

If you're on a good team that's expected to compete for a WS and you fail it's a completely different story than Donny's was.

How does it always come back to ARod?

I get in my car this morning and turn on Mike & Mike (ESPN Radio for those that don't have it.) I suppose timing is everything, but literally the first words I heard were (paraphrasing here from memory), "What would have happened if that were ARod and not Beltran who struck out looking with the bases loaded to end the Championship Series? The world as we know it would stop spinning."

Is the media going to do this with every situation now? What if ARod gave up that HR to Molina? What if ARod decided not to bunt the runners over in the 9th? What if ARod were that priest who molested a Senator? What if ARod conducts a nuclear test?

I think I'm going to nominate Greeny for next week's "Just Shut Up" award right now. He knows he deserves it.

LOL, I caught that segment too this morning and it had me cracking up.

Mike and Mike are cool to me.

The one guy that needs to shut up is Mad Dog. The man argues things without any basis or foundation to fall back on. He's one of those people that argues and argues and sounds right only because he continues to argue the same thing and it just so happens that it's the same thing that sheep believe.

He'll say something like, "Alex Rodriguez needs to be traded!" His only defense would be, "Because he stinks." And he'll say that over and over again until the person using actual numbers and a realistic observation just gives up because it's annoying.

I like Mike & Mike too. That's why I think they'll actually understand if one of them gets nominated for their own game (Just Shut Up).

                            haha, I agree.

I can see Mike Golic getting nominated just because he always takes the shots.
