Re: Barry Bonds to become a free agent
Something like .250, 26 HR, 75 RBI. He had that ridiculous OBP though, I think in the .450 range.
EDIT: .270, 26 HR, 77 RBI, .454 OBP to be exact.Comment

Not really anything earth-shattering... but someone will overpay for him... He'll probably go to the AL though.Rose City 'Til I Die

Re: Barry Bonds to become a free agent
He started hitting with more power in the 2nd half, plus he still gets a ridiculous amount of walks. He could be a dangerous DH in the AL, but he can't really play in the field much longer. From the article sounds like he wants to stay out west as he shows interest in the Angels and Dodgers.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

Re: Barry Bonds to become a free agent
I have a hard time believing ANY team, let alone Dodger fans would embrace a player like Barry Bonds. He's best served to stay in SF where he acutally receives support.I write things on the Internet.

Re: Barry Bonds to become a free agent
He'll probably be back with the Giants.
One of the rumors I have read is that the Giants will lowball him and the word is out to other teams to not give him an offer. Either forcing him retire or swallow his pride and play for small money.“Nobody in the history of the game tried what I just tried. We’re talking about on the biggest stage, in New York, playing out of position and asked to hit fourth for the New York Yankees. I mean, that’s never been done.” - Sheffield on SheffieldComment

Re: Barry Bonds to become a free agent
He'll be given a small contract... if he accepts he plays for the Giants, if not, he'll go nowhere. No other team will touch him. There's too much history, pride, etc, left in baseball for any other team to touch him. In other sports I'd say it's a different story, football, basketball... not in baseball. Or so I'm hoping.....
Would you rather have Hank Aaron or Barry Bonds holding the All-Time HR mark? Stupid question........"Well the NBA is in great hands but if I had to pick the single greatest player on the planet, I take Kobe Bryant without hesitation." - Michael Jordan, 2006Comment
