I think 3DO did stop making the Army Men games. They probably only have enough money left to finance one game, so they go with High Heat.

Plus, they exhausted the crap out of the Army Men games. At one point, it seemed like a different one came out every month. What was left to base a game on?

    Army Men Toilet Bowl Cleaning?

Their adversary could have been the Toilet Duck from those really bad commercials.

      "Quack Quack!"

Yeah, they were pure gold.... but are they even making them anymore? I haven't heard anything out of 3DO other than stuff about HH in months.

You have to little faith in 3DO my friend...

They are now going to see if the little green and tan guys will stay afloat on the Gamecube.

Other than ASB and Aggressive Inline I don't think I've ever commented on any Acclaim games.... doesn't exactly qualify me as a fanboy, eh?

You were always first in line to post the financial troubles with 3DO... This is simply a case of if you are going to dish it out, you need to learn how to take it..

Oh and the first Turok was great. It unfortuantely went downhill from there, including the Gamecube version. And there were the Jeremy Mcgrath (sp) motocross games which make the Army Men games look like Halo 2.

If I'm going to dish it out, I need to learn how to take it? It really doesn't bother me that some guy from Acclaim got fired... and this is far less of an interesting story than the sordid tales of one Trip Hawkins. He makes for a much better read.

Can't really comment on the motor cross game since I've never played it. It's too bad you didn't like it, but it really doesn't affect me or the way I feel about 3DO, Acclaim, High Heat, or ASB.

Financial troubles or not, Acclaim has always made a great game of baseball... ASB will continue to reign supreme.

Trust BDoughty, the Jeremy McGrath games were pure garbage. I bought the first one on PS1 and it was close to unplayable. I never tried another one, but from everything I ever read, they were just about as bad.

Yeah, but Mary Kate and Ashley Olson are hot.

Acclaim saviors of the year was Tony Hawk and All-Star Baseball.

The product line is slowly losing it's extreme edge. Extreme games are dime a dozen now plus only a handful of Accliam's extreme product line were any good.

But again Acclaim has been making very good games in the past few years. Exception ASB and TH few games have ever really broken out of that niche market. Agressive Inline seemed good but didn't do well on the charts.

Maye acclaim should start making Roller Coaster Tycoons and Hunting games for the consoles. Those always sell.
