Vidro adds nothing here, unless the rumor I heard of Sexson to the Yankees for Carl Pavano is true. I guess he could play first, but even then, do you want Jose Vidro as your first baseman? I'm not even saying what they gave up for him was alot, it's just not the right player to bring in.
I believe that rumor was at some point true, but the trade didn't work out. Thank god...all the M's need is that all too reliable Pavano....might as well change the "avano" to "iniero".

I'm gonna puke. We trade away Snelling for a slap hitting DH?!?! Why the hell didn't they just go with the platoon of superior talent they already have? I'm f'n speechless. Snelling was arguable Seattle's best hitter in the 2nd half last season and Bavasi trades him away for crap. Snelling's only knock has been his injury problems, but Vidro is just as injury plagued! Snelling even makes about $6 million less than Vidro. I don't get it, I really don't. Why is Bavasi trading away the future of the club (Soriano, Snelling, Fruto) for crap?

This trade is up there with Jay Buhner for Ken Phelps...except we're on the other end. Its going to be a long season.

I just came on here to post that the rumor is dead as both teams weren't interested.

The M's management is officially a joke. If they don't make one significant move this offseason I will not watch one M's game next year.
