Arrested for double parking at an airport by Police. He seemed like he was in a rush to drop off his stuff and the police told him he couldn't park where he was and he just said "write me up a ticket and I'll pay for it." They arrested him on the spot... pretty crappy if you ask me.

Pretty crappy by whom? Peavy? or the Police?
If you ask me...it's Peavy who is the idiot here.

It's carppy the cops here in Mobile are like that. I went to my sister graduation from the University of South Alabama last month and a cop like that gave me a hard time. My wife was carrying our 4 month old son and we had to park a mile away from the Mitchell center so I went and got the truck and come back in front to get here and my son and a cop was like you cant park here and i told him i was just getting my wife and sone and would be along my way and he said they can walk move along so i said give me a ticket which then he pulled me out of the car and called for back up. yeah i'm a real criminal. Stay away from Mobile the cops here are *******s and will arrest you for farting wrong

I said it was pretty crappy because Peavy got arrested. End of story. I'm not putting the blame on anyone here.

I don't know how the police are down in Mobile, but to get arrested for double parking like that when you're on a goodwill trip along with other MLB players is a pretty crappy thing to happen to anyone irregardless of who it was.

yeah I was lucky enough to see him play some high school games for st. paul in mobile then I worked for the baybears from 96 - 01 and had a chance to meet him when he played for them he's a cool guy

You realise why he got arrested right? He was saying fuk the Law! Write a ticket I makes millions And I will pay it! That is jerk and most players are like that. It is just how it is.

I can remember the schools calling the Chief of Police in the city I worked and complaining that parents were double parking in front of the schools, bus zones, etc., etc., etc., to pick up their kids after school. Double parking is actually dangerous because people try to do it quickly, pull in and out without looking, are in a hurry, kids run between the cars, etc., etc., etc.

I hated being assigned this while on patrol as everyone had an excuse, "I'm just picking up my kid", "I'll only be here for a second", etc., etc., and so on.
They'd get ticked off when you'd write them a ticket. Everyone wants things enforced until it comes to them.

I don't know what tone Peavy used when he said "just write me a ticket", but if the cop told him to move from being double parked in front of the air terminal and he didn't, oh well. If Jake was doing it because he was Jake Peavy, then he got what he deserved. But again, I guess cops should just take every excuse on a case by case basis (and we've all got them) and go their merry way. If the airport officials were demanding strict enforcement and a cop walks away I guarantee you they're on the phone to the Chief or patrol supervisor.

If cops do parking enforcement their jerks, except if someone is blocking your driveway and you want them to come and "write a ticket" because youo can't get out of your driveway. So the cops are danged if they do, danged if they don't.

Am I a jerk cause I told the cop to write me a ticket that I wouldnt move because I was picking up my wife and 4 month old on a curve instead of making them walk a mile to my truck. Trust me the cops here in Mobile dont have any sense of compassion here the badge goes to Rosco's head here. And a word of advice if you ever do visit Mobile stay away from Dauphin Island the cops there are the worst I have ever seen. I live in Bayou la Batre about 15 miles south of Mobile my cousin is the cheif of police and the mayor is a close friend of the family for the city of BLB and I still got arrested last summer for something i didnt do. but i was aquitted of all charges in the end.

Yes that would be a jerk, sure it is not fair to your wife, but that is the Law. Don't like it help change it. If they let you they would have to let everybody do it, or are you special too.

Come on that would be even more of a mad house.

I hear you, but if you going to be a dick about it like Jake was he should get arrested. I just see it different. I am tire of these pro athletes thinking they are special. I have seen many of my pro friends get out of tickets, because they think they are specail, oh well.

Iwasnt trying to be an *** or anything it was freezing out i wasnt going to make my wife and 4 month old have to walk that far in the cold by the time i got to the curve they were there the cop was just being a jerk he didnt even want me to stop.
