Re: Breaking News: Bonds failed drug test
And a lot of people currently inhabit our penal system for the crimes that they have committed, should we look the other way on their transgressions simply because "a lot of [people break the law]"?
And that still doesn't make it acceptable or justifiable. I don't care if it comes out that 100% of the players in the league from 1986 thru 2004 were on steroids, level playing field or not, the use of illegal performance enhancing drugs is not right.Comment

Re: Breaking News: Bonds failed drug test
Well, until they prove he took steroids yes I believe that. Once they prove it then I will change my mind. This is America, the last time I checked, and you are innocent until proven guilty!Comment

Re: Breaking News: Bonds failed drug test
Unfortunately, that's not how it works with athletes. Look at McGwire, he's never been proven to take anything, yet almost every baseball writer in America considers him a roid user. It's a shame, but that's how it is now.Comment

I didn't say it was right. I am just saying what are you going to do punish everyone or just BondsComment

Re: Breaking News: Bonds failed drug test
To me that is what is wrong. Maybe he did take them, but who are we to judge. If he is found guilty then sure you can say all you want. It is becoming a witch hunt!Comment

Re: Breaking News: Bonds failed drug test
Everyone, obviously. At least to the point in which it is possible. A fine start would be with someone like Bonds, who possibly perjured himself by lying to a federal grand jury.Comment

Re: Breaking News: Bonds failed drug test
I was thinking the same thing. If you got caught doing something you shouldn't take your punishment like a man and don't try to blame someone else for your own stupidity.
Well, don't really care about the HOF.
Bonds is either stupid, i.e, uses an unknown ingredient lotion on his body,
picks up pills from somebody elses locker and pops them in his mouth.
Or, he's a liar. I think he's a liar. Are there liars in the HOF? Yep. Do I respect this liar for not taking his lumps, for blaming others? Nope.Comment

Re: Breaking News: Bonds failed drug test
Yeah, I hear you. The thing that's unfortunate for McGwire is he's the first guy under suspiscion of Steroids to be eligible so I'm not surprised by the reaction. It will e interesting to see what happens in a few years from now!Comment

Re: Breaking News: Bonds failed drug test
Can't respect someone who blames someone else and says something as dumb as:
It's Sweeney's fault, he had it in his locker to begin with, and I went into his locker and took it from him and used it, not knowing what it is.
That's so believeable on so many levels.Comment

Re: Breaking News: Bonds failed drug test
Which is exactly why Bonds will continue to be the brunt of all this. He shoots himself in the foot constantly. Lying and blaming others won't get you anywhere with the media or the general public. It also doesn't help that while doing this, he's approaching one of the most sacred records in all of sports.Mario Kart Wii: 1203 9969 5095
Super Smash Brothers: 1590 5514 9377
