from what I have been reading, the Mets (unless the Twins resign him) will basically go all out for Santana next year.........

Even if Chan Ho was our #1,#2,#3,#4 and #5 pitcher for all of the '07 season we'd be better than that Braveboy.

That bullpen isn't the trash it was last year.

              Should be a fun year.

Oooh, it's time to get cocky now that the Mets steal ONE division title from the Braves...

Yeah....steal....let me think, which game was it that cost the rest of the NL East and handed the Mets the division like a behind the back tip?
                    Hmmm....oh yeah...I remember now...GAME 1!!!!

Listen, I had to(and obviously still have to) hear crap from Braves fans for the last decade. We crush the East and I have to remain silent?
Please, oh so knowledgeable Kredit....tell me when I'm allowed to gloat a little?....especially since even last July, you and every other baseball fan had the Met collapsing and the Braves still taking the division.

I'm the first guy to say it. You can't predict anything with 100% assurdness(read the threads about the Tigers/Cards in relation to the NL vs. AL record last year), but if all you Brave fans are going to come up with are "you signed Chan Ho Park"....go back to the store and bring something else to the plate.....'cause that one is WEAK.

Edit....sorry I see it was a Marlin fan(same thing really, cause if it aint' New York...it might as well be Newark!) that originally started this....but the Choppers jumped right in....so...

Freeze frame: With bases loaded and 2 outs, Beltran takes called third strike.

I dunno maybe Chan Ho will have a good season then again maybe I will win the lottery.

BTW speaking of sleeper signings (which this is not) I learned this week the Jays had signed Victor Zambrano. Yeah he's recovering from surgery and won't be back til June but if he gets off on the right foot that'd be one of the best sleeper/cheap signings of the year.

Can't argue there...that was a ...but what are you going to do? That wasn't our only chance to take that game.

My take on the NL East this year....it's going to be TIGHT as hell.
The Mets have a pretty powerful lineup....and they are going to need it as their starting pitching is definitely weakened(UNLESS....Perez and/or Maine have terrific seasons and maybe we even catch a little rookie magic ala Dwight Gooden with Pelfrey or Humber. Add to that...the Mets pen is still the best in the East(probably the majors but definitely the NL) and I still feel good about them.

The Phillies have that monster at first. He can carry that team...easily. If Utley keeps up his fine game(and I don't see why he can't)...the Phillies are the most improved team in this division. They have a very, very nice starting rotation. Thier bullpen..ehh...I'm not sold and I'm sorry, but Flash Gordon as a closer does not scare me in the ninth down by 1 or 2.

                          The Marlins=fluke(pun intended....I kill myself )

The Braves...yes they added one super nice reliever in the off season, but their rotation is as weak(if not weaker) than ours and their lineup scares nobody. There isn't a guy in that lineup(as with Philly with Howard) that I'm saying.."Oh no....I hope we don't have to face that guy with the game on the line". Not Chipper anymore....and certainly not Jones. Besides...if you guys aren't sniffing at the WC come July.....bye bye Andruw The Braves bushwacked him last contract(with Daddy? as his agent)...but now that he's with Boras....ADIOS! (at least I hope )

Weaker? Our rotation is much better then the Mets. And our line-up although not as potent as the Mets, hold their own. Weren't the Braves like 2nd in offense in the NL last year? Or something like that. Offense wasn't the problem, and believe it or not, neither was the rotation. Bullpen was, of course if Hudson doesn't have a good year, which I could easily see, then the rotation COULD be a problem. But seriously the Braves as of now, have a much much much better rotation then the Mets. It isn't even close. Come on now.

And it's 2 super nice relievers.
