When you say the games suck are you referring to the gameplay or the frame rate issue?

        <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

ok suck was a bad word to use.. I should have said "i did not enjoy the game."
I could never fully experience the gameplay b/c of the slowdown/frame rate. So the frame rate is the first key in my complaint. I know I can tweak the settings lower the resolution.. then you lose part of the benefit of being on PC.

Here is my list of problems(in general) with pc sports games compared to console.

        Benefits of Consols:

        Standard hardware(very fiew framerate problems)
Standard Gamepads (easy button configuration and right number of buttons).
You get to play them on your TV with ease(nice big size).

        Benefits of PC:

        Great resolutions
        Custom downloads
        Patches ect.

        Downside of Consoles:
No patches to fix bugs/AI issues
Lower resolutions(not as important now with HDTV)

        Downside of PC:
Patches(alot of time you get a bad product of out the box b/c the company knows they can issue a patch).
Non standard hardware - lag slowdown.. directx crashes
        Non standard gamepads.

of course they are going to look better... the resolution on a computer is just so much better than a tv.

but once you get to the high resolutions then your frame rates drop to the floor and the game become choppy. to each is own.. not bashing them.. just saying they are not for me.

I agree with that statement. I reciently spent a ton of money (including buying a new expensive 128 meg video card) to get smooth and fast graphics. Madden 2003 PC looks better than it does on any other platform, the gameplay is just as fast too. But it cost alot of money to get it to perform like it does now, instead of just spending $199 on a console.

                    Re: PC versions

I just went on gamestop.com to see if I could get any PC versions confirmed.

Here are the only two that showed up in the database:

                    High Heat 2004 - 2/11
                    MVP 2003 - 6/2 (UGH!)

EB.COM only had High Heat in their database. Maybe the other game makers are bailing out of the PC developement side?

From all indications there will be a PC version of ASB 2004 as well.

Well, not to say that this means that it def. will not be released, but its not on the Acclaim.com website for pre-orders.

Well correct me if Im wrong but I read, and PJ confirmed a PC version will be released this year. Dunno if it was one of the interviews or previews of the game. Again I might be wrong.
