Remember the last commercial they did together? It was Opening Day commercial after the SB with Arod/Jeter/Beckett playing wiffleball.

I don't care about any rift between A-Rod and Jeter. I don't think Jeter has done anything wrong to affect A-Rod or the team on the field.

Everyone who is around the clubhouse, A-Rod, other players, even a lot of the media say they get along fine. They talk, they support each other. Sweeny Murti, Yankees beat writer, said a couple of days ago that they still go out to dinner and stuff at times. They just aren't as good of friends as they used to be. And people try to turn that into "Jeter hates A-Rod."

        The sleepover thing is silly.

Jeter and Rodriguez have been known to sleep over each other's house since Alex was in Seattle.

Rodriguez talked about it all the time.

In fact, it was one of the things the media feared was lost when Derek took Alex's comments too seriously.

This is a non-issue to me. Derek answered the questions perfectly and Alex cleared the air. They are teammates both trying to win a championship. Why should it matter if Derek and Alex don't go out to dinner anymore?
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

This is hilarious. It reminds me of two high profile celebrities trying to keep their relationship a secret. For example...Jessica Simpson and John Mayer. The response he gave in an interview about her was similar to the one ARod gave.

Ryan Seacrest: John, everyone wants to know...whats with you and Jessica Simpson?
John Mayer: Shes a really beautiful girl and I really respect her and what she does.

Media: Alex, tell us about you and Derek. Whats going on between you two?
ARod: Well, me and Derek are still friends. You know, we cheer for each other. Do we go out and eat dinner every night like we used to? No, but we're still good friends.

Hmm...now that I look at it, its more of a celebrity break-up.
