Re: So what seems to be the current leader?
Here's what I'm thinkin'
1. WSB- No doubt about it. I played this game a little bit last year and thought it was just OK. But I told myself if they fix a couple of things and add Behind-Pitcher cam, I'd be all over it. From what I've seen so far this year, I am totally impressed! ESPN, new animations, more depth in franchise, AI customization (ex. more errors, more walks, etc), warm-up bullpen... I could go on. This is definately the game I'll be getting.
2.ASB- This game has a ton of new features and is shaping up to be a great game. The depth in franchise alone is unreal. This would be my #1 choice, but I owned last years version and I have to get something different. Don't get me wrong, I think this was the best of the baseball games last year (xbox) and I really enjoyed it but from the movies that I've seen, it just feels too much like last years. I know they've improved most of the things that bothered me last year, but WSB is calling my name.
But this will be a great baseball game, you cant go wrong with this choice. Here are some more details:
3. High Heat- I'm a true fan of baseball and I want the most realistic game out there. Yeah, I'm very particular about this. I've never played this game before, but from what I hear this game rocks as a baseball simulation!!! Plus they have some improved graphics to go along with some great gameplay... but the graphics are still a step below some of the other games. This might be the best "baseball" game out there, but I'm looking for the total package.
4. MVP- This game looks very gooooood. And I bet it will be a GREAT game... next year. First year titles scare me a little, but who knows, EA may be able to hit a homerun on this one. Most of the movies I've seen, I am very impressed with. And the overall design looks great too. When I first saw the movies I had this as #2 on my list, but in the last couple of weeks I moved it down. Like I said before, I'm very particular about my baseball games, and I'm gonna give this one another year of seasoning before I consider it.
Anyway, thats how I see it right now. I know there are a couple more games out there, but this is already hard enough to choose one of these 4. This will be a great year for baseball games, I dont think you can go wrong with any of these choices!!!
