Re: Absolutely insane!
His right-handed delivery looks so much smoother just in those pictures & the video, but if it works for him then he should keep on. That has to be a valuable talent -

I've been wondering why there haven't been any ambidextrous pitchers.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

I just noticed that. He throws side armed with his left hand, but three quarter release with his right hand.Originally posted by CardsFan27This is the 3rd time John Calipari has been to his first Final Four! What I'm Currently Listening ToComment

Re: Absolutely insane!
This kid could singly handedly destroy all baseball databases that exist. I doubt there is a field for "SHP" under what arm the pitchers throws with.
This quote is pretty funny:
A switch-pitcher facing a switch-hitter could make a fine Abbott and Costello routine. Against Nebraska last year, a switch-hitter came to the plate right-handed, prompting Venditte to switch to his right arm, which caused the batter to move to the left-hand batter’s box, with Venditte switching his arm again. Umpires ultimately restored order, applying the rule (the same as that in the majors) that a pitcher must declare which arm he will use before throwing his first pitch and cannot change before the at-bat ends.
“Eventually, after 10 or 15 minutes, they got it figured out,” Venditte said with a smile.Comment

I personally could throw with both arms as well, but obviously, I suck with both arms so it isn't very helpful.
Honestly, as insane as some sports parents are, i'm suprised we havent seen more of this. If a guy could do this well, imagine how valuable he'd be to a club.Comment

Re: Absolutely insane!
My friend has an insanely intense father. He tried to make him pitch with both when he was younger, he even bought the special glove. It didn't work though. His son ended up rebelling and quitting baseball. Played soccer instead.University of Oregon

Re: Absolutely insane!
Some kid I play with can throw 65 MPH with both arms which obviously isn't good enough to be successful. He's only 16 years old though, so maybe if he improves, he'll get some looks from some decent colleges.Originally posted by billmaticRadman is more like the ******** homeless man's version of Okur.Comment
