A close second was after Torre pulled Chase Wright after he allowed back to back to back to back HR's and Morgan said "That's why Joe Torre is a great manager"

Funny, I think ESPN's HD is by far the worst. They pale in comparison to the games on NESN and YES.

Me and three of my boys all watched Fri night's game together at my crib on YES and then watched last night's game too on ESPN. We were all in agreement that ESPN's HD looked like doo-doo in comparison.

      I'm rocking a 50" Samsung 1080p DLP.

I think ESPN HD looks great on my DLP. I have the same model as you, but I think mine is a year older than yours (based on the HDTV thread). Fox Sports Pittsburgh looks just as good though (they air 40 Pirate games in HD so it's not often I get to see it). Fox HD doesn't look very good. Those are the only HD stations that I have that air baseball in HD.

Have you had your set professionally calibrated? It's well worth the money ($400 or so).

I always assumed it was harder to steal off of left handers because they have a quicker pick off move. So what Joe said was news to me.

This is the only thing I don't like about ESPN's coverage. Morgan grates on my last nerve. Both statements that you listed are funny.

To me ESPN, NESN, look the same and I've never watched a game on the YES network.

What happened last night was awesome. Fenway Park was going crazy and all of the balls were crushed.

I assume you have satellite if you're watching the games in Cali. Does that have an effect on HD? ESPN's HD looks bad for everything in CT, especially the NBA games. Strange.

Yah I always thought ESPN and NESN were pretty similar. Fox is by far the worst for me.

Yup DirecTV. ESPN looks awesome in HD.

Yep that's the conventional wisdom. I don't know what Joe was smokin'. I sometimes wish Jon Miller would press his partner to explain himself more regularly.

I hate hearing Morgan on TV but I love reading his ESPN Chats with the snarky comments on the Fire Joe Morgan Blog.

I love reading those. I really don't think Joe Morgan watches baseball at all. You ask him about a certain player, his response: I haven't seen him, I've heard good things about him, but I haven't seen him.

Also who can forget when he thought Moneyball was written by Billy Beane and that he created OBP and his team is run by computers.
