Will ARod break the single season record?
Pretty simple question. He is on pace for over 100, but that most likely won't happen. But, will he break the single season record? Just a simple yes or no will suffice.76Yes0%18No0%58Tags: None -

I doubt it but I hope so. I dont care who does it as long as someone respectable beats Bonds record“Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.”

I hope so, not because I hate Bonds (which I do), but for the excitement that it would bring to baseball. Although my wishes are tempered by the fear of even more New York-centric ESPN and national coverage.
To make a nice middle land, and to stick it to the Yanks, I hope he breaks the record, the pitching staff falls apart, and the come in third behind the Sox and Jays.University of Oregon

Re: Will ARod break the single season record?
The only way he will do it? Is to be ready for when they walk you all the time. You will only see one to two pitches a game you can hit out of the park and if you are not ready that time, you will not break the record. That is what was special about Bonds, he got 1 to 2 pitch a night and he did not miss it.Comment

Re: Will ARod break the single season record?
Yep, A Rod has a great chance, but we will see how he does with all the pressure on him. This will be more pressure then a playoff game.
Plus the media will be all over him, it will be hard to keep focus.Comment

I say no though, he's off to an incredible start, but I think it's still too early to say he'll do it.
I hope so though.Originally posted by Jay BilasThe question isn't whether UConn belongs with the elites, but over the last 20 years, whether the rest of the college basketball elite belongs with UConnComment

Re: Will ARod break the single season record?
Well, Arod is hitting between Giambi and Abreu, and is in a lineup that when healthy has only one non-all star caliber player. So he'll never get walked as much as Bonds did.

Re: Will ARod break the single season record?
No for two reasons:
1. Let's say he keeps up this torrid pace he's going to end up getting a lot of media attention and pressure heaped upon him. A-Rod has never shown an ability to rise above pressure in his entire career.
2. He will eventually get into a slump and the NY media will get on his case therefore exacerbating his problems.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club
