Plus that makes no sense for a baseball player to do. If their only goal is to recover from an injury, I doubt they'd put their careers on the line by taking banned substances.
I actually disagree with this. I thought it was pretty common for players to take steroids for recovery. With the grind of playing every day, it helps keep them fresh. I forget who, but one player said "It makes every day like opening day." I also think it's pretty common among relief pitchers because they recover faster in between outings.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but recovery is one of the main benefit that steroids provide. It allows people to workout harder, longer and more often.

I thought corticosteroids were the ones used for recovery. Anabolic steroids like Andro and synthesized testosterone are the ones used for increased muscle mass and hence increased power.

Yeah he crushed that ball and it barely got out. That was a tough day to hit them out.

Can't wait till he finally does it. Will definitely be one of my most memorable moments in sports.

                    Go Bonds

I don't believe that steroids help in hitting home runs (again personal opinion), because muscle is not what gets the ball out of the park in most cases.

Steroids don't help you HIT a ball, but alter the distance a ball is hit.

                      Steroids increase muscle mass.
                      Muscle mass increases strength.
                      Added strength increases bat speed.

                      Draw your own conclusions.

Incorrect on this account, mainly because muscle mass does not increase bat speed. You have to use the transitivity property when making this statement. Bat speed comes from your lower body, not your upper body. Ask anybody that knows why overswinging (using more arm strength) slows down your bat speed.

You don't have muscles in your lower body?

Wow... you learn something new every day.

Anyhow, I'm planning on going to the game Monday and looking forward to booing Baroid.

i'm just happy i'm going to get to see this. I think this is going to be one of the moments u never forget.

Bonds is a great, great player in my opinion. He has such great Plate awareness. He's struckout more than 100 times in only one season. That's an amazing accomplishment with the way the game is played these days, everyone swinging for the fences, especially when you've played for 20 years.
