My homer pick would be Joe Nathan or Pat Neshek.

My non-homer pick would be Roy Oswalt. The dude has pretty similar numbers to Johan Santana but doesn't get anywhere near the love.

          Are you kidding??!!!
Unless you have been living in a cave in Anarticia you know who Travis Hafner is!
I would agree with Aaron Harrang, the guy led the NL in wins and k's and did not win the Cy Young.(He did not get even one vote for the Cy Young!!)

Yea, I think Hunter gets plenty of hype, maybe even a little more than he deserves.

Nathan and Oswalt are good picks.

Nathan maybe, but Neshek's too young with too little track record.

                Scott Hatteberg
                Frank Catalanotto
                David DeJesus
I'd take Betancourt off the list, he's slipped a bit this season. Especially defensively.

Top 3 underrated players IMO are Youkilis, Eric Bedard, and Adrian Gonzalez.

                  Re: Most underrated player?

                  Alex Rios.

Edit: No wait, Roy Oswalt is probably the most underrated player. He's had three seasons with ERAs under 3, has never had an ERA over 4, has an awesome career record, has two seasons with 20 wins, I'll be it the strikeout numbers aren't close to Santana, but how is he not considered in that same tier as Santana? He gives up a lot of hits, but he has a hell of a K/BB ratio, but has he ever won a Cy Young award? Four of the past five seasons he has logged on well over 200 innings and looks to do so again this season.

Quality pitcher that IMO doesn't get the publicity he probably deserves except for when a team is playing the Astros and they have to face him.

Changed my pick. I think Rios is more underrated than Aaron Hill.

I agree with Nathan. He's converted 92% of his saves with a career WHIP of 0.97, yet doesn't get near the hype of Rivera or Hoffman.
