When Baseball Forums go Bad!

I cant look at this place until the games come out cause this forum has went to hell. All I see is questions from mostly new users who ask about things they can easily find out by simply going to the front page and looking at any of the previews or Q and As.
Honestly, I'm not mad at them its just when away from the site for a long period of time I come back to this place and see 2 pages worth of new threads I go bug-eyed. I cant possibly read all this at work. And the thread I do end up looking at has been either a question that if the took the time to look for somewhere on the front page could of been answered without posting. Or its a serious prediction of which game gonna be the best and someones ranting on about how the others suck. Then post after post of fanboyism and arguments follow. I cant take it anymore, whats happened to this place. It seems like the Twilight Zone.

I first came to OS during the time the new Basketball games were coming out. And that place was'nt as bad as this is looking. It was alot of redundant questions but not as annoying as someone asking "does ASB have a franchise mode"? Or " which game has the best gameplay"?
Thi splace has turned into hell and just tw weeks ago everything was fine.
To any new users who wanna know the answer to a question, plz,plz do more research first. The answer might be right under your nose. I'm not mad at ya, cause you may not know, but I just cant take the millions of threads in here now. It makes my brain hurt.

Just a rant, now get back to work.

Graphik, ive got to agree with you, Ive stopped coming to the forums lately because youve got alot of people asking questions that can be found in the Press Release. It just shows you that todays gamers dont take the time to look at certain things, and they think that somewhere there is a magic poster that will answer all of their questions. Personally, i enjoy coming to this site, because the OS staff does a really good job of compling info, and keeping us gamers informed. On top of that, they arent a-holes like other site mods, even though they can get on you once in awhile. Anyway, nuff with my rant.

I too agree that there are some stupid questions being asked, but this is what the forums are here for. For us to discuss the games. If people weren't asking questions or arguing which game is better, what else would there be to talk about? I dont have a problem with questions and fanboyism as long as the questions arent incredibly ignorant and the fanboys are mature about what they are preaching.

I give much props to Diablo, Heelfan, Clay, and a couple others for handling all these questions. Because I look at them and laugh sometimes. Some questions are somthing that has'nt been released or discussd yet but the higher majority has been thoughtless.
You're right tho, this is really what this forum is for but we can reduce the redundant threads by having ppl simply do the research first. Thats how i always been. I think some ppl just wanna see if they can get thier question answered to feel special or something.

Everyone should chime in when those questions are asked. "Check the main page" or "That is covered in the interview".... Eventually, the people will get around to it. I think it's more that people are too lazy to go and read something and would rather ask a question or 2 and get the answer much quicker.

I also think sometimes people that "Hey, let me ask this, so my number of posts goes up. I wanna go from rookie to pro in a day" I mea maybe thats not it really, but hey, I got a laugh outta writing it, so its a possibilty that someone thinks it.
