Why in the world do the Royals want Bradley? We already have a logjam in the outfield.Ryan Spencer

First line is KC's production from DH, the second line is production from LF.
Now why in the world could the Royals possibly be interested?Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

Re: Game Over: Bradley designated for assignment
Right, we know how loaded the Royals are with quality major league caliber talent.

But you have to consider that Billy Butler, one of the best hitting prospects in all of baseball, is a klutz in the field and will likely assume the role of regular DH, which is currently occupied by Mike Sweeney.
As far as leftfield, we already have a platoon of Emil Brown and Joey Gathright out there. If you look at the numbers, Brown compares favorably with Bradley and is far more durable (Bradley has played in 190 games over the past 3 years, Brown has played in 350).
And when you factor in Bradley's less-than-stellar attitude, I don't see why the Royals would be interested in the guy. It's not like we would be giving up a whole lot to get him (Leo Nunez is a good pitcher, but nothing special), but I don't see a real need for him on this team.Ryan Spencer

Sure, Bradley might bring a short-term improvement when plugged into one of those two positions.
