First Girardi says no and now Tejada on the DL for the first time in his career. Tough break for them (and me since he's my SS on my fantasy team). This organization should be competing with the big boys. I hope they turn it around.

Not a great week for Orioles fans
First off, I love the tradition, history, and stadium of the Orioles so I'm not bashing them as the obnoxius (SP?) Yankee fan...

Not a great week? They beat the Padres in a three game series and Jay Payton took it to his former team. I'd call that a great week for Oriole fans.Comment

It hasn't been a great 9+ years for Orioles fans.
And it probably won't get much better as long as Angelos is around.Originally posted by Jay BilasThe question isn't whether UConn belongs with the elites, but over the last 20 years, whether the rest of the college basketball elite belongs with UConnComment

Chances that the Orioles play better with Tejada out of the lineup..."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Re: Not a great week for Orioles fans
I doubt Andy MacPhail would have taken his job if Angelos didn't give him full control of the team, so I think there will be a turnaround sooner rather than later. Plus, it's gonna be hard for Angelos to screw up some of the minor league talent we have coming up.
3 in a row right now though, I'll take it.Comment
