    This was a suprise!!??

(TM) SlugFest(R) 20-03, the first-ever adrenaline-style console baseball videogame, was the top-selling baseball videogame for the PlayStation(R)2 computer entertainment system in 2002. MLB SlugFest 20-03 launched on the PlayStation(R)2 in June 2002, followed by the Xbox(TM) video game system from Microsoft and the Nintendo GameCube(TM) versions in August 2002.

According to NPD Funworld, MLB SlugFest 20-03 has outsold every competitive baseball game individually for the PlayStation 2 by two-to-one since its launch. In the month of July 2002, MLB SlugFest 20-03 hit a home run with consumers everywhere, outselling all competing PlayStation 2 games' combined sales by a nearly two-to-one margin, and any single PlayStation 2 competitor by five-to-one. Sales figures for all PlayStation 2 baseball games from 2002 revealed that MLB SlugFest 20-03 outsold all competing PlayStation 2 games in the category, making it the best-selling PlayStation 2 baseball game in 2002. Yes, One of the pressing problems in the world today is the young people's insistence on preferring arcade games to sims.

Sadly, we have a lot of stupid uneducated people out there buying video games. It really is a shame.

I don't understand why the devlopers make certain game much less people buying them.

I was shocked that George Bush didn't address the current generations penchant for purchasing arcade like sports games over Sims in the last state of the union address. This very troubling trend may be the death of all of us serious gamers.

aint it the truth. Could never understand the appeal of nfl blitz. Luckily these games are in the minority, as far as demand for the most part. And the game makers realize most out there want the realism.
