Experience doesn't always matter look at the '91 Braves and Twins and the 2002 Angels. That's such a broad statement to make so don't make it.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Padilla will not be as good this year, he was overused last season and showed obvious signs of fatigue. I have a feeling it'll drag over to this year.

Padilla is totally rested from last year. The Phils did not let him play winter ball and he is ready to go.
BTW, reports say that today Thome hit one of the longest HR's every seen at the Carpenter Complex (Phils Spring Training site). It was BP but I'm in 20 inches of snow right now and needed some little tidbit like this to get me excited. For the record, I think if the Phils don't at least win 90 games this year it will be a disappointment.Comment

Re: The Phillies...
Thome batted .256 on the road last year. A 94 points less than at the Jake. Not only will he have to face a whole new league, he will have to play 81 games at one of the best pitchers park in the NL. But one thing that will definately help him is having Pat Burrell and Bobby Abreu surround him in the lineup.Comment
