Re: Waiver Trade Rumor Thread
No way they move Miggy in a waiver trade. Nothing of value to them will come through waivers, and they can't be that stupid. -
Re: Waiver Trade Rumor Thread
Sosa for sure is gone. Can't imagine they deal Wilkerson though since he's on the last year of his deal anyway and can play all 3 outfield spots/ plus 1B. You obviously wanna clear up some space to bring up some young guys, but I'm not sure you're helping yourself either way by platooning Victor Diaz out there with Catalanatto vs. Wilkerson and Catalanatto.Comment

Re: Waiver Trade Rumor Thread
I found a helpful old Steve Phillips article explaining the whole August waiver trade thing. If you don't feel like …
Some guys don't get traded before the deadline because GM's are simply too stubborn, asking way too much for a player (aka, Jim Bowden). Others don't get dealt because a GM has delusional thoughts of still being a contender (aka, Terry Ryan), then a couple more weeks of mediocrity changes things.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

I can't lie in saying I'd love to make a run at Omar to end the year, seeing him back in the Indians uni with Lofton would be like being in a time warp.Comment

Re: Waiver Trade Rumor Thread
I'm hoping the Braves can pick up another starter, preferably a #3 but I'm not holding my breath.
Carlos Silva is probably the best option, ugh.Patrick Mahomes > GodComment
